Ribbon Weaving & Embellished Smocking Designs

Smocking Plates which use ribbon weaving and embellishment in their designs. Styles range from weaving straight across or following the flow of the design. We recommend Double Faced Silk Satin ribbon as your ribbon of choice to weave due to it's flexibility and softness. Polyester ribbon can be very stiff as it has a strong memory but if you iron it over it will work.
