Pat Garretson is all about innovation in her clothing designs as well as smocking designs. Her whimsy shows itself in her imagery of her smocking designs. She is into shadow work embroidery as well as applique and recently has a fascination with gingham smocking in bringing her unique style to simple squares brought together with thread satisfying the counterchange smocking craze which basically died when the fabric companies stopped making striped fabric the proper guage. Each of her patterns is a lesson in creativity with ample instructions to keep you reading on and on and wanting more. Her design plates are featured on her original clothing patterns.

What a wonderful idea this is, matching dresses for dolls and girls. This delightful pattern has 7 views, smocked or heirloom sewn. You have your choice of long or short sleeves, peter pan collar, square, round or smocked collar. Also contains 4 smocking designs and shadowork designs. Great instructions and detailed illustrations make each step and technique very clear and easy to make.

Pat Garretson's New Bishop Dress & Bonnet

Two sizes:  Small 6mo - 3 and Medium 4-6

Each pattern has individually graded sized. There are nine views to choose from and each view has 4-5 different variations, and two bonnets are included for individual sizing: Small, Medium and Large to protect those tender heads from the burning sunlight and harmful U.V. Rays. Also included are 4 smocking designs and 2 shadow work embroidery designs. Along with complete instructions on how to do just about everything you would ever want to know.

Comes with 'Little Bows 7 Little Flowers' smocking graph with complete instructions for beginners. Also includes 'Teddy Bear' shadow appliqué design with complete instructions for beginners. View 1: Dress with bias bound puff sleeves edged in eyelet. Neck with bias & gathered eyelet. Bodice front has tiny button trim. View 2: Collar with beading, ribbon, & lace. Short puff sleeves with beading, ribbon & eyelet edge. Shown with 'Let It Snow' shadow appliqué design, which is included with complete instructions.

View 3: Beautiful puffing collar made with wide beading & ribbon. Short puff sleeves with beading, ribbon & eyelet trim. Dress is hemmed & has sash at waist which ties in back bow. May be made as a dress with hem or a blouse/slip to be worn under the jumper. Pattern cover gives yardage for making the skirt of this dress fancy with beading, ribbon & edging but dress may be made with a hemmed skirt.

View 3: Ho! Ho! Ho! bib ties in bows at sides. Santa 'Teddy Bear' (included) is quick & easy. Shoulder straps feature lace, wide beading & ribbon which tie in bows. Pat made this dress in Midnight blue velveteen, a white bib with lace & green satin ribbons. Elegant!

PGP#03 Spyder Mickey's Dress Girls: 3-6

Two versions to choose from but many variations are possible.

View 1 is a smocked, drop waist dress with mock insert finished with beading, ribbon & eyelet. Easy construction. Long sleeves with button cuffs. 'Home Is Where The Heart Is' smocking graph is included. (Smocking graph #017 Spyder Micke' shown is not included but may be ordered separately click here to order)

View 2 is an heirloom variation with double ruffle skirt made from Swiss eyelet edgings (or make your own). Upper bodice is trimmed with eyelets, ribbon & beading. High Victorian neckline trimmed with eyelet ruffles. Short puffed sleeves insertion down the center and finished with eyelets, beading and ribbons.
