#243 Silk Crepe - 14mm.  100% Silk from China.   This stuff is lovely.  Perfect for painting, smocking, heirloom sewn nightgowns with pintucks.  Add some pearl buttons and you have yourself a beautiful blouse.  Flounces nicely, in fact the more on an angle the prettier it gets.  Excellent for bias designs.  Swirl skirts and 20's reproductions.  Add a little silk paint or dye and you have yourself a piece of art-to-wear.  Stencil it.

#243a Handpainted Silk Crepe - 14mm.  100% Silk from China.  $14.00yd  45" wide   Click for larger version One color: Teal with Royal Blue.  This stuff is lovely.  Perfect for blouses, skirts, kimono jackets or whatever your heart desires.  Add some pearl or silver buttons and you have yourself a beautiful blouse.  Same behavior as the plain crepe with just a lot more color and pizazz.  Make a black skirt or pants and wear this on top or vice versa. #245 Silk Organza - Sheer 100% Silk from China.  Airy and sheer but with a definite substance to it.  As with it's cousins in cotton (organdy) the effect of the silk threads is some what shimmery with a somewhat pale umber color of natural silk.  One color: White.   45" wide $8.00 yard

Very luxurious, but sturdy.  Edges fray so finish off your edges after cutting out.  hand wash with a baby shampoo or Ivory Snow, roll in a towel to squeeze out excess moisture, dry flat.  Ivory    45" wide   $17.00 yard

#97 Raw Silk Noil - - 100% Silk.  45" wide $5.50 yard Used for smocked skirts, blouses, jumpsuits, jackets, blouses or two piece outfits. Beautiful drape and easy care fabric - machine washable. Silk is a natural fiber similar in consistency to hair, so machine wash in cool water in the delicate to gentle cycle. Line dry, iron while damp (easy to do). One color: Natural.
