A word on Pima Cottons. Any seasoned seamstress will tell you that there is no joy like working on pima cotton. Your embroidery or quilting needle zips in and out as smoothly as a fine wine washes down your throat. The soft feeling on your fingers is a sensuous feeling of luxury only found in quality fabrics such as pima cotton and/or silk. The reason for this is that Pima cotton is a long staple fiber that has a longer life span than regular domestic cottons (acala). The silkier hand (by hand we mean feel to the touch) qualifies it as an heirloom fabric. All the time and effort you put into your projects deserves the use of the finest fabrics around that will last decades if you take care of it. I have seen some beautiful Edwardian dresses (1900-1910) made from the loveliest Indian Lawn that are as strong and vibrant as back then. Time to make your own family heirlooms to carry forward into time.

#301 Blue & Violet Flowered Lawn $12.50 per yard - 100% Pima Cotton 60" wide.
Made
in Italy. A devout Liberty of London lover, I had been hunting for a reasonably priced beautiful printed lawn for the longest time now and found one the other day, much to my delight (and yours hopefully). The softest hand, the prettiest drape, the perfect fabric to smock for either bishops or basic square yoke dresses or circular skirts. Also would make a lovely skirt, blouse or nightgown/pajamas. Perfection itself.

#85 Pimaline
- 100% Mercerized Pima Cotton Broadcloth - English Import.
45" wide $8.50 yard
The more you wash it the softer it gets (matches Liberty
of London in feel). White is hypo-allergetic as it has only been bleached
and washed. Colors match Pima shirtings, Tartan Plaids and #102's Veronas
as a bias trim or for piping. Soft and supple fabric with beautiful drape.
Try it for the most beautiful backdrop for your smocking or experiment with
it for quilting & appliques. Makes the softest clothing (blouses, dresses,
shirts, sheets, nightgowns, robes etc). For the best care machine wash cold,
line dry or tumble dry low, touch up iron while damp. 13 colors
in stock: Aubergine, Canary Yellow, Dahlia
Pink, Strawberry, Cyclamen, Ocean Blue, Electric Blue, Flag Blue, Lilac,
